60 km of groomed ski trails
Practising cross-country skiing on well-groomed ski trails is pure pleasure. There are more than 60 kilometres of ski trails that are made for both skate and classic style. The ski trails start right at the hotel and are free of charge.
Storhogna's high altitude and climate make the area snow-sure early in the season and lasts until late spring. Take a long trip to Vemdalsskalet, or enjoy the popular high mountain circuit where the mountain offers limitless expanses. Track status
The ski tracks at the Storhognas/Klövsjö track centre have been laid. This applies to the 1 km, 2.5 km, 5 km, 7.5 km and 10 km tracks. Both classic and skate tracks are groomed. See the course profiles here.

Hiking in the mountains
For the hiker, the possibilities are endless. There are 18 miles of tracks across the mountains that take you out into the wilderness or to our neighbouring villages. It is never far between the rest cabins where coffee and other goodies are served. A 4-kilometre easy cross-country trail with majestic views starts from the hotel and leads to the popular Samevistet waffle hut on the bare mountain.

Join us for a group technique session with our skilled ski instructors who are trained in cross-country skiing and will help you reach the next level in your cross-country skiing! You can also book a personal coach who can take your skiing to new heights. Or why not gather the gang and spend a full day sharpening your cross-country skiing with the ski coach in Skidproffs for a day with a solid training programme, lunch, coffee and a final bath & sauna.
