Anyone who has been to Jämtland understands that this place is worth fighting for. Jämtland, with its beautiful nature and sources of both energy and relaxation, has historically belonged to Norway, Denmark and Sweden.
Comfortable beds and quiet rooms
Frösö Park Hotel in Östersund offers 330 hotel beds in 139 double rooms, family rooms and suites. With an enchanting view of Lake Storsjön and the mountains, the sports hotel is where outdoor life, health and gym meet privacy, spa and well-prepared food. It is often visited by those who love golf or winter sports, but just as often by those who want to enjoy flavoursome cuisine, exotic surroundings and a relaxing spa. Always close to the airport.
The story that stirs emotions
Frösö Park is so much more than the rooms you can sleep in. The place we are located on carries a history that we try to manage in the best way possible, and it starts all the way back to the Middle Ages. It was here that the inhabitants gathered on 12 March each year to take joint action and decisions on Jämtland's development, during what was called the Jamtamot.
For over 300 years, this site was a military base, first with a field hunter regiment and then as the Jämtland Air Wing. One of the hangars has become a congress arena, the barracks houses several large companies and we have been honoured to take over the old mess hall. Where the military used to be catered for, we now serve high quality food to our guests. It is also in this building that you will find our reception, bar, spa, gym and conference rooms.
Frösö Park Hotel is part of Nordic Choice Hotels, one of the largest hotel chains in the Nordic region, with around 190 hotels in Scandinavia and the Baltic countries.
